İnsan da kalıntıdan oluşuyor sanki. Bir şeyleri yıkarak, bozarak, o bozulmuşluktaki saf halini mi anlamaya çalışıyoruz.

20 Kasım 2022,Varşova’ya doğru trende, Saat 19:02,
Kristeva, Korkunun Güçleri, sayfa:14,
Bulanık ve yitip gitmiş bir yaşamdan artakalanlardan kısmen hatırlar gibi olduğu ama su an benden tamamen ayrı ve tiksinç bir şey olarak yakama yapışan bir yabancılık aniden yoğun bir şekilde belirir. Ben değil. Şu da değil. Ama hiçbir şey de değil. Bir şey olarak tanımlayamadığım bir ‘bir şey’. Var olmayışın ve sanrının, farkına vardığımda beni hiçleştirecek bir gerçekliğin sınırında. İğrenç ve iğrenme orada benim korkularımdır. Kültürüme doğru atılan ilk adımdır.

A strangeness that I seem to remember partially from the remnants of a blurry and lost life, but which now clings to me as something completely disgusting and separate from me, suddenly appears intensely. Not me. Not that. But it's nothing either. A 'something' that I cannot define as a thing. On the edge of non-existence and delusion, a reality that will make me nothing when I become aware of it. Disgust and disgusting are my fears there. It is the first step towards my culture.

20-09-2023 / Çarşamba - Wednesday

Merve, Dave ve İdris ile baskıcıya gittik. Merve sergi için baskı aldı. İdris fotokopi makinesini izlerken epey heyecanlandı, onun heyecanını izlemek ilginç.

Sonra Fener’e doğru yürüdüm Şile’nin içinden. Kayalıklarda oturdum, denizin içinde yürüdüm.

We went to the printer with Merve, Dave and İdris. Merve made some prints for the exhibition. Idris got very excited watching the photocopier. It is interesting to watch his excitement. Then I waled to the light house through the Şile town. I sat on the rocks, walked in the sea.

Not defterimi okudum biraz.
Sonra atölyedeki malzemelere baktım, masaya yaydım bazılarını.
Arada etraftaki kitapları da inceledim. Kumaşlardan birine pastelle çizim yaptım. Pek sevmedim ama. Biraz kille oynadım.
Kil pek iyi değil, yapışmıyor. Epey uğraştırdı, canımı sıktı.

I read my notebook a little.Then I looked at the materials in the studio and spread some of them on the table. In the meantime, I also examined the books around. I drew something in pastels on one of the fabric pieces. But I didn't like it much. I played with the clay a little. It is not a very good one, doesn't stick. It took a lot of effort, pissed me off.

Tüm günümü bir şeyler okuyarak, sanatçı işlerine bakarak geçirdim. Bu araştırma hali düzensiz, oradan oraya atlayarak, biraz da garip bir tedirginlikte geçiyor her seferinde. Bu süreç resim yaparken de, deney planlarken de benzer bir şekilde ilerliyor sanırım.

I spent the whole day reading things and looking at artists' works. This state of research is quite irregular; happens with a slight uneasiness, jumping from place to place each time. I think this process works the same as painting and planning experiments.

Juan ve Nacho ile Böhmi’de kahvaltı yaptık. Sonra ben havaalanına gittim, onlar da bisiklet turuna çıktılar. Merve, Dave ve İdris beni havaalanından aldılar. İyi denk geldi.

We had breakfast with Juan and Nacho at Böhmi. Then I went to the airport and they went on a bike tour. Merve, Dave and Idris picked me up from the airport. Worked out well.
