torna Research will publish pamphlets and other printed matter by artists interested in research and using the artist publishing format as a tool to share it.

torna Research group is a supportive and a collaborative system of like-minded artists, writers and designers in which research by practice can be realised free from the limitations of academic requests.

The platform provides a space to those who want to share their ongoing research in an artist publishing format.

Failed attempts, evolving processes, finding new ways to explain the same things in our minds are what we like to work on.

We are especially interested in ideas around KNOWLEDGE, SOCIETY and LANGUAGE.

(There is politics, colonialism, formation, distribution and consumption of information in knowledge.There are people, buildings, foods, mud and trillions of stones in society. And language. You have thought about it too many times, I won’t say any more.)

We published the first book from the series by Merve Kaptan in 2025 - 'Notes On Ancestors'.
