torna Residency - Restoration & Volunteering

We have been restoring the houses ourselves since 2017 and there is still quite a lot to do until we can fully treat them as working studios and guest houses. However, one of the two houses is nearly done. We started working on the 2nd one in the summer of 2025 with the help of our friends who kindly stayed with us and gave all they had to work on the restoration tasks. If you are also interested in the process of restoring an old house; learning, teaching or simply appreciating the traditional building/crafts skills, please do get in touch. We'd love you to come and help us at the houses and get to meet our amazing neighbours and İznik town. We will be in İznik next in August 2026!
